The Supreme Court


The Supreme Court serves the student body and Student Government by helping to correct violations of the Student Government Constitution and Student Government Code by hearing cases. The Supreme Court interprets the rules of Student Government.

Chief Justice: Aaron Maldonado

Aaron Maldonado was appointed by President Andrew Gryce in the Spring of 2022. He is a Political Science major with a double minor in English and Economics. Aaron was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, with an avid love for politics. During his term, Aaron wishes to instill civil discourse and fix issues at hand through his role as the Chief Justice.

Associate Justice: David Painter

David Painter was appointed by President Andrew Gryce in the Spring of 2022. David is currently pursuing an M.A. in Legal Studies at Texas State University, and aspires to attend Law School. David assists as a Success Coach here at Texas State and is excited to help his fellow Bobcats as an Associate Justice.

Associate Justice: James Morrison

James Morrison was appointed by President Andrew Gryce in the Spring of 2022. James is a junior here at Texas State studying Finance, and, in addition to Student Government, he is a part of a fraternity and serves on the IFC board. James is incredibly excited to work with his fellow Bobcats as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
