Student Government Election Timeline

As a Student Government Election candidate, know what you must do and when you must do it by viewing the Student Government Election Timeline.

Student Government Election Filing Form

The filing period opens at 9:00 a.m. on the first class day of December and remains open until 5:00 p.m. on the first class day of the spring semester.

During the filing period, students interested in running for office in the Student Government Election must complete the Student Government Election Filing Form.

Student Government Election Financial Disclosure Form

Go to the online Financial Disclosure Form to complete and submit your Student Government Election campaign-related expenses by the deadline.

Student Government Election Rules Reading Seminar & Affirmation Statement

Each candidate is required to attend one Rules Reading Seminar. After attending the Rules Reading Seminar, each candidate is required to sign the Agreement and Affirmation Statement.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT ELECTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

There are many policies, procedures and rules to follow as a Student Government Election candidate. Below are links to the frequently needed ones.

The Student Government Constitution and the Student Government Code of Laws (also known as the Student Government Code or S.G.C.) contain Election related policies and procedures. The Election Code is Title III within the Student Government Code.
